Communication Anchors Friendship

Drifting ships may hit icebergs. Here's a quote from an article I found:

Good communication is a necessity with those we value as friends. When you converse with others, you show personal interest in their feelings, and you encourage them to express their thoughts and emotions. If the conversation always centers on you, you might end up talking to yourself. Good communication requires being a good listener as well as the ability to express yourself. To have real friends, we must open up to others-let them know who we really are. At the same time we must allow them the same opportunity. Just be yourself. Only by being genuine can we enjoy a genuine friendship.

1. Free your heart from hatred - Forgive.

2. Free your mind from worries - Most never happens.

3. Live simply and appreciate what you have.

4. Give more.

5. Expect less from people but  more from God.

UPDATE: Information in the post below is not valid any more. I will not be studying an extra semester.

I can't believe I'm going to study an extra semester. I hope it turns out to be a blessing in disguise. And I hope a tuition grant would be awarded for the extra semester as well. It's just too much to afford without a grant.

Update: I just checked TP website [link] and confirmed that Tuition Grant is awarded to a maximum of 10 semesters. Yay!

But now I have no choice but to do an extra semester. I hope everything turns out well.

Yea if everything goes as planned, I will be finishing my diploma in 3 and a half years. Which means I would do my last semester in April-August 2009.

Chinese Years

My birth month is November 1986, making me a mix of these two?

Year Of The Tiger
1914, 1926, 1938, 1950, 1962, 1974, 1986, 1998, 2010

Tiger people are sensitive, given to deep thinking, capable of great sympathy. They can be extremely short-tempered, however [I was so before, but not anymore.]. Other people have great respect for them(?), but sometimes tiger people come into conflict with older people or those in authority [Not true, I click well with people of authority, most of the time]. sometimes Tiger people cannot make up their minds, which can result in a poor, hasty decision or a sound decision arrived at too late. They are suspicious of others, but they are courageous and powerful. Tigers are most compatible with Horses, Dragons, and Dogs.

Year Of The Rabbit
1915, 1927, 1939, 1951, 1963, 1975, 1987, 1999, 2011

People born in the Year of the Rabbit are articulate, talented, and ambitious. They are virtuous, reserved, and have excellent taste. Rabbit people are admired, trusted, and are often financially lucky. They are fond of gossip but are tactful and generally kind. Rabbit people seldom lose their temper. They are clever at business and being conscientious, never back out of a contract. They would make good gamblers for they have the uncanny gift of choosing the right thing [I always choose the wrong things, so that's not me]. However, they seldom gamble, as they are conservative and wise. They are most compatible with those born in the years of the Sheep, Pig, and Dog.

But then, I checked out the other years [link], many of the years have traits that I show. So we really can't stereotype a person based on the year or date he or she was born on.
